Seven-day Residential Training Program

Who Should Attend?
The widely acclaimed Oatman School of Executive Protection provides comprehensive, realistic, and relevant training for individuals who are currently assigned to executive protection responsibilities or those to aspire to this kind of career opportunity. It is a must for anyone wishing to enter the field of executive protection:
  Directors of security
  Corporate security personnel
  Current and former law enforcement officers

Approvals and Certifications
  Approved for Certified Protection Professional credits (CPP) by the
    American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS)
  American Society for Law Enforcement Training Seal of Approval
  Approved by Maryland Police and Correctional Training Commissions

Attendee’s of the seven day program can now apply for college credits through Carroll County Community College (Maryland).  An agreement has been made between Carroll Community College and R.L. Oatman & Associates Inc. that states, “Individuals who successfully complete R.L. Oatman & Associates, Inc. School of Executive Protection are hereby eligible to receive credit by examination for CRIM – 130, Introduction to Homeland Security, at Carroll Community College.  The criteria is to complete the seven day program and achieve a score of 70% or better on the comprehensive final examination administered by R.L. Oatman & Associates, Inc.  Please contact the registrar's office for more information.

The seven-day program covers these topics and more:
  Principles and choreography of protection
  Working the principal
  Developing and using the risk assessment model
  Advance site preparation
  Emergency and evasive vehicle operation and security
  Counter surveillance techniques
  Use of firearms in protective assignments 
  Self-defense
  Open resource intelligence collection
  Step-down weapons
  Emergency medicine
  Legal considerations
  Psychological analysis of threat potential
  Dress and etiquette
  Practical scenarios (two full days)

Tuition
The cost is $3,375.00 per person, all inclusive, this covers all lodging, food and training costs.  One person per hotel room, all meals including breaks, all training materials, all training exercises.  We take 34 students and the program closes, all students are screened carefully before acceptance.  We put in over 70 hours of training that includes 18 instructors.  We conduct two seven day programs per year May and October.
